Tis the season to be dripping in winter wonderment. I absolutely love all the different colors and themes associated with this time of year. Are we going more silvers and winter whites? Or how about forest greens with earthy reds? The sky is the limit so really choose what feeling you’d like your friends and family to feel. Warm and welcoming is always the goal but finding the feeling to match the theme is key. Check out our bride Darby and her take on a Winter Wonderful Wedding.

Her beautiful centerpieces reflected her personal take on holiday elegance and was a different take on the traditional tones you see at Christmas times. To me it feels very Yuletide. It’s refreshing to see southern soothing cool tones displayed against the warm candlelight.

Darby had such classic beauty I wanted her hair to reflect that aspect. I created a low, loose chignon with tussles of hair kissing her shoulders. Her furs were a focal point for pictures and I wanted you to be able to see her neck and jawline. We went with champagne and dusty brown for her shadow and finished with a nude pink lip.

Now that we have been thoroughly inspired by this bride’s colors and textures it made me want to search Pinterest for a winter cocktail that you and your best gals can enjoy while getting ready for your winter wonderful event!

Mistletoe Cocktail

Instructions
Place mint leaves, 2 cranberries, honey and lime in a dish and use a muddler to mash and set aside.
Squeeze lime juice into a small dish and sugar into another, big enough for the rim of the glass, and dip the rim of the glass in the lime, then in the sugar to rim the glass.
Place the mash mixture in bottom of the glass, add ¾ the glass of crushed ice and vodka over the ice, add ginger beer to just below the rim of the glass.
